In January 2003, Gary Henderson joined CISNT and the non-profit sector after a 17 year business career as a Senior Manager at Price Waterhouse and a Senior Vice President at Bank of America. Gary led Bank of America’s Private Bank Technology and Operations division including more than 400 associates across the U.S. and Grand Cayman offshore Private Bank. Gary’s team was responsible for an annual budget in excess of $20 million. Gary has a bias for growth, a passion for helping at-risk children and a deep desire to leverage the skills & experiences he gained at Price Waterhouse and Bank of America to increase our impact in the community. He has a strong business background in strategic planning, operational management, financial planning, balanced business scorecard reporting, leadership development, succession planning and business continuity planning. In addition to leading CISNT, Gary serves on the board of directors for the Texas Association of Partners in Education (TAPE) and is a member of the Greater Lewisville Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Committee and the Lewisville ISD Adult and Community Education Advisory Council.

Brian has worked with Communities In Schools programs for the last 13 years. Prior to joining CISNT's team he worked at Communities In Schools Dallas Region as the Senior Program Services Coordinator, Program Services Coordinator as a and Campus Manager. He has also worked for the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services, Dallas, as an investigator of Child Abuse Referrals, and the Dallas Independent School District as a Community/Attendance Liaison, and a Department of Public Safety Campus Officer. Brian oversees all CISNT programs and is an active part of developing new programs.
Melanie Barry has served in non-profit management in Denton County for the past 15 years as Executive Director for Court Appointed Special Advocates of Denton County and the Denton County Substance Abuse Coalition. She was a Program Manager for the Greater Dallas Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, in Denton, and the Director of Marketing and Community Relations for Christian Community Action. Before becoming our CFO, Melanie was the Director of Community Investments and secured funding for CISNT programs. Throughout her nonprofit career, she has successfully written and been awarded over $8 million in grant funding and raised thousands of dollars through special event activities. As the CFO, she is responsible for all financial operations of CISNT.
John Minh Nguyen has a BS in Business Administration and a BA in Art & Performance from the University of Texas at Dallas. He came to CISNT from the CIS Program in Dallas, where he served as the PIPELINE and Website Manager. John is responsible for training staff on the CISNT Case Management Model as well as the use of the CIS Tracking Management System to ensure correct data capture of services and outcomes into the database that provides CISNT with information regarding the student's progress towards achieving the goals established in their individual case management plan. Aside from his duties as a trainer/database manager, he also provides technical support to all staff, maintains the website, and is responsible for designing and producing all CISNT marketing materials.
Dana Smith received her Master’s in Social Work from Baylor University. She helped start a non-profit organization in Waco, TX before coming to CISNT to oversee the Even Start grant in Little Elm ISD in 2005. She has experience in counseling, program management and grant writing. Her background enables her to be effective in the community sharing the needs of our programs, across all age groups. Dana is responsible for building relationships within the communities we serve to increase the financial and human resources at CISNT through fundraising, special events and volunteer management.

Courtney Molchan earned a B.BA in Management and a M.S. in Economic Development. Before joining CISNT, she worked as a financial administrator and grant writer for a federally funded program at the University of North Texas for four years. Courtney has successfully funded over $6 million in grants within the last six years. Her primary role at CISNT is to research funding opportunities and programs, help develop dropout prevention programs and write grants that fund the agency. In addition to CISNT, Courtney enjoys her position as Adjunct Faculty teaching courses in Nonprofit Management at UNT and hopes to inspire the next generation of nonprofit leaders.
21st Century Community Learning Center Program Coordinator: Heather Ader
Heather Ader has a BA in Speech Communication, Minor in Psychology from Arkansas State University. She has six years experience working in the financial industry working a range of roles from Teller up through Manager at Wells Fargo Bank and Compass Bank, earning a license as an Investment Broker and Insurance Agent, Series 7, 66, Group 1 License. As the CISNT Program Coordinator for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers, Heather is responsible for managing the eight afterschool programs that serve 800 kids at risk of dropping out of school.
Wendy Johnson earned a BBA in Accounting from Texas A & M University and is a Certified Public Accountant. She is active in the Lewisville Council of PTAs and the Castle Hills Elementary PTA and contributes both financial knowledge and educational insight Wendy started her career as an accountant in reporting and inventory analysis for Dell Computer for seven years. As Financial Support Analyst, Wendy allows CISNT to operate at a highly effective and financially transparent level to maximize community resources to benefit the at-risk students we serve.
