What is the typical day like for a CISNT Program Manager? |
|
CISNT Program Managers plan their programs throughout the year based on the needs of the students on the campus and educate the campus on community on what they can do to support those needs. On any given day, a Program Manager will respond to any number and variety of student and family needs and crisis situations. There truly is no typical day, but if there were it might include:
- Receive feedback from teachers, nurses and counselors that require immediate action to serve a child in crisis
- Coordinate with school attendance staff to determine if a CISNT case managed student is absent from school and follow up with the student or family to remove a barrier to attendance
- Meet students that need supportive guidance or support services
- Plan campus-wide programs such as dental, vision or hearing screenings, immunizations, holiday assistance, school supply drives, etc.
- Prepare for after school home work programs
- Meet with parents of students to provide community resources (CCA for food or financial help, Salvation Army for food or financial help, and many, many more community resources)
- Build relationships with community groups, clubs, businesses and corporations who will invest employee resources and financial resources in the CISNT program
- Document and report on services provided to students, family members, and community members
