During the 2006-2007 academic school year, Communities In Schools of North Texas: Provided case managed services to 2,206 children Provided an additional 12,823 services to other students Provided 5,469 services to parents or family members of our case managed students Provided 4,322 services to community members Provided a total of 464,633 services to students, families and community members

Of the 2,107 case managed students referred for attendance, behavior or academic problems:

• 99.3% of our 7th-12th graders stayed in school
• 92.8% were promoted
• 95.33% showed improvement in attendance, behavior, academics, or social service needs
• 76.92% of seniors graduated

How cost-effective is the Communities In Schools of North Texas program?

• The cost for CISNT to provide services to one case managed child for one year is only $544.74
• The cost for a school district to educate one child for one year is $5,200
• The Cost to keep an inmate in prison for one year is $35,000
• The average dropout costs more than $800,000 over the course of his or her lifetime
• 88 cents of every dollar goes towards providing direct services to our children.
