During the 2006-2007 academic school
year, Communities In Schools of North Texas:
- Provided case managed services to 2,206
children
- Provided an additional 12,823 services to other
students
- Provided 5,469 services to parents or family members of our case managed students
- Provided 4,322 services to community members
- Provided a total of 464,633 services to
students, families and community members

Of the 2,107 case managed students
referred for attendance, behavior or academic problems:
- 99.3% of our 7th-12th graders stayed in school
- 92.8% were promoted
- 95.33% showed improvement in attendance, behavior, academics, or social service needs
- 76.92% of seniors graduated
How cost-effective is the Communities
In Schools of North Texas program?
- The cost for CISNT to provide services to one case managed child for
one year is only $544.74
- The cost for a school district to educate one child for one year is
$5,200
- The Cost to keep an inmate in prison for one year is $35,000
- The average dropout costs more than $800,000 over the course of his or her lifetime
- 88 cents of every dollar goes towards providing direct services to our children.
