Communities In Schools of North Texas is committed to fiscally operating our organization with the highest financial integrity. Uniquely positioned above many other non-profit organizations, our fiscal agent, Little Elm Independent School District oversees all accounting, personnel, and volunteer risk management activities creating an outstanding operating controls environment.
Deeply committed to helping children who are at-risk of dropping out of school, our CISNT board and management team have established as the highest priority that we contain non-direct service expenses in order to be able to maximize the student benefit for each and every donation received. Our central office partnership with Lewisville ISD to rent office space behind the Dale Jackson Career Center in Lewisville exemplifies our creative and cost containing approach to fiscal management.
Each year, CISNT submits to a rigorous independent audit, conducted by the firm Hankins, Eastup, Deaton, Tonn & Seay, located in Denton, Texas.

The results of these audits have been outstanding and demonstrate the effectiveness of our financial management and day to day processes.
Our annual IRS 990 filings tell a story of growth and stability. CISNT has been serving the North Texas community since 1994, the growth in revenue and the diverse sources of our revenue growth have placed us in a position to compete effectively for local, state and federal public funds, as well as foundation and corporate resources.
