Communities In Schools of North Texas may by faced with closing as many as 10 programs that serve North Texas children across Denton ISD, Lewisville ISD, Little Elm ISD and Northwest ISD. "Communities In Schools of North Texas is facing the toughest financial challenge since we began in 1993", CEO Gary Henderson reports. "We need the community to understand what this means to children, dropout rates, property values and the economy of north Texas." Communities In Schools of North Texas is pleased that the Denton County Commissioners Court recognizes the need for CISNT's effective dropout prevention programs and passed a resolution on January 21, 2011 urging the Texas State Legislature to preserve funding for Communities In Schools in the state budget.
