Gift Card Drive

Local Boy Scout Jacob Drum completed a project benefitting CISNT while working on his Eagle Scout project. His goal was to collect gift cards for CISNT Program Managers to assist families in emergency situations.

Jacob spoke with store managers within our community to see where he could set up his project. Kroger stores at 2709 Cross Timbers, 1101 Flower Mound, and 2240 Justin (FM 407) graciously opened their doors to help.  They allowed Jacob to set up a booth outside their stores on two different Sundays.

Scouts and parents from local Boy Scout troops, as well as CISNT staff, came out to help run the booths. They asked customers to donate gift cards to buy groceries, clothes and other household items for families in crisis situations.  The project was a huge success! The Scouts collected over $2,500 in gift cards.  In addition to that Jacob got $300 in gift cards donated from Target and Kohl's.
