FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Outstanding community response to family in need

The community response in support of the Vazquez family, who lost their 4 year old and 6 year old children in a fire last Friday in Lewisville, has been overwhelming. As of this afternoon, Communities In Schools of North Texas (CISNT) campus staff member at Central Elementary School, Nellie Apodaca, reports that the Vazquez family needs have been met.

During the day Friday and throughout the weekend individuals, church groups, civic groups and businesses stepped forward to aid the family.

“It was encouraging to receive offers of support for the family from across the metroplex. Support was strong throughout the Lewisville ISD community, including Christian Community Action (CCA) in Lewisville”, reports CISNT executive director, Gary Henderson.

Additional needs for the Vazquez family, as they surface, will be communicated through CISNT’s website at www.CISNT.org.
