FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PrimeSource Donates Computers to Help At-Risk Children Dallas, TX - May 11, 2007: Today, Communities In Schools of North Texas (CISNT) announced that PrimeSource Food Service Equipment donated personal computers to benefit their dropout prevention programs in Denton and Wise counties. “Many of our children do not have access to computers in their homes. This generous donation from PrimeSource FoodService Equipment will be used in our school-based dropout prevention programs as well as allowing us to provide technology for our students at home”. says Gary Henderson, CISNT Executive Director. CISNT announced earlier this year the rollout of their “e-Mentoring” system, a secure web-based system that allows mentors and students to communicate using technology while CISNT campus staff monitor the progress of their mentoring relationship. “Many CISNT’s students are victims of poverty and lack the resources to succeed in school”, states PrimeSource FoodService Equipment chairman and CEO, Fritzi’ Woods. “PrimeSource is committed to helping CISNT help these children in their efforts to stay in school.” Communities In Schools of North Texas is a 501(c)3 non profit organization affiliated with the nations largest dropout prevention network. Dropping out of school is a process, not an event. To learn more about Communities In Schools of North Texas visit www.CISNT.org or call (972) 436-6377.
